About Me
Honeybee Roses
I have always been moved and inspired by bringing people together. It is has been the driving force throughout my life. Community created by theater was my first love, entering the theater world at a young age. Gathering people over food was a close second place, discovering the joy of connection over a dinner table in New York City, where a love-cooked meal can change the trajectory of someone's week. At the center of both worlds lies the desire to cultivate a space for authentic conversation.

Rather than picking one lane, I find myself defining what I do in a different way. I am a New York based creative professional, specializing in event curation and theatre production. While wearing my event hat, I design, plan, and execute personal, corporate, and experiential events, including life’s biggest milestones. While in my director chair, I bring important stories to life through innovation, metaphor, and a little theater magic.
On a totally different (but not so different) note, my dad is a beekeeper and my name - Melissa - means honeybee. My birthday is, believe it or not, 'National Honeybee Day'. I'm not joking! What I've learned from my dad's honeybee lecturing year after year, is that life is all about the little things. The way we greet our loved ones, the way we make them feel, the way we wish them well -- Every piece is integral to the overall experience. Without the tiny honeybee, we would not exist. I believe that without experiencing the details, life would not be nearly as sweet.
With Honeybee Roses I hope to bring your vision to life, creating experiences that you and your community will talk about far beyond closing time.
